Day 1: Arrival
We start our trip in Foix, a beautiful historic town with a magnificent chateau and many cafes and restaurants to explore if you arrive early. We will meet you outside Foix train station at 17:00 for the 30-minute transfer to Lesparrou. There are regular train links from Toulouse to Foix. From Toulouse airport there is a 20-minute airport shuttle to the main train station in Toulouse (Matabiau). Once we have arrived in Lesparrou you will be allocated your accommodation – in either La Petite Maison or La Grange. You can relax, have a cup of tea, or help yourself to a beer or wine from the honesty bar. We will meet up at 19:00 in our Le Studio hub for a ‘kit talk’ before we head out for dinner at a local restaurant around 19:45. Dietary needs can be catered for, so please just let us know on booking.
Days 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6: Hike days
We start each day with breakfast in your accommodation – we will bring freshly baked croissants at 07:00. Your kitchen will be well-stocked with breakfast and picnic food. Please help yourself for breakfast and make your own picnic lunch. We can cater for dietary needs, so just let us know on booking. At 08:30 we will meet in Le Studio for a ‘weather and map briefing’. Then we will head out for our day of hiking. We aim to keep transfers to the start of the hikes at around 45 minutes. Each day we will explore some of the beautiful areas and peaks that we look out onto from the accommodation – for example: Pic Fourcat, Barthelemy, Pic du Han, La Frau and Le Plateau de Sault. At the end of the hikes we come back to Lesparrou for tea and cake in Le Studio. After a shower you can sit outside on the benches and soak up the views with a cup of tea or glass of wine from the honesty bar. We take dinners at a local restaurant around 19:45.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast at 08:00 we will depart Lesparrou and take you to Foix train station.
