THE SPACE
This accommodation has been decorated with light colours so it is bright and fresh. The loft room is large light and airy. The double bed is at one end of the room with space for clothes storage. The rest of the room is living space with, Arabic floor sofa, dining table and chairs for two people and a kitchen area. The shower room has a modern composting toilet and a shower. This bathroom is for your exclusive use and is also situated on the first floor attached to the open plan living area. There is a velux window in the shower room for ventilation and plenty of natural light. The first floor barn doors have no glass windows in them so you can only rent the camping loft during the summer months (we do not rent this space in the winter). When the barn doors are open you have a great view up to the forest and plenty of light and breeze as it is a large opening. The kitchenette is small and simple with a fridge, sink, a two-ring gas camping stove, kettle and a variety of kitchen crockery, cutlery, utensils and pans. The space is perfect for breakfasts, lunches, and for cooking simple suppers rather than large meals – in the area there are plenty of reasonably-priced cafes, restaurants and food markets for eating out. Please be aware that there is no heating in this accommodation, so you will need to bring extra warm clothes if you want to rent the camping loft in late-spring or early-autumn. Guests have access to the whole first floor area which is accessed via an internal staircase. You also have access to a small indoor/outdoor terrace on the ground floor where you enter the barn building which has a view up to the oak forest. There is room here to sit and have a glass of wine and enjoy the forest view.
THE VILLAGE
Lesparrou is a quiet village with a post office. We are on a street with no through access so there is only us and our friendly neighbours in this tranquil corner of the village. We back onto the forest and have a beautiful river which you can walk along in both directions to our neighbouring villages for a quiet coffee or beer and pick up your bread and pastries from two outstanding bakers.
GUEST ACCESS
The check in instructions and information on how to find us is very clear and concise so that a self check-in is extremely simple. These means you can arrive when you like after 16:00 on your arrival day. Please do not expect us to be there to see you in, the directions and the photos are all very clear so you can easily find the property, where to park and the key location. If you need any help please message me as I am not able to answer my phone very often but I will respond quickly to your written messages. There is a folder in the property with lots of information about the area, and if you need any help please send us a message as we are always willing to help if we can.
OTHER INFO
Sheets and towels can be provided for 10€ per person per stay. You can pay cash on arrival for these. There are square pillows and duvets provided in the property. Please do not use the beds, duvets and pillows without sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases as I will then have to have them washed and will make a charge for this at 20€ per person.
